Growth of women in manufacturing sector: Highlights & Trends

Currently, women constitute approximately 20 percent of the manufacturing workforce in India, with an even more striking figure of around 80 percent representation in electronics manufacturing as per a survey. Sectors such as automotive, electric vehicles, electronics and phone manufacturing are leading this change, offering opportunities for women to enter precision-based roles traditionally dominated by men.
