• Leaked, Amazon's 'office plan' to cut cost by more than a billion dollars

  The e-commerce giant plans to achieve this by allowing certain leases to expire naturally, discontinuing the use of some office floors, and negotiating early lease terminations for specific buildings. • Amazon pays $1.9 million to workers in Saudi over unlawful fees

  Online retailer Amazon said Friday it had paid $1.9 million to more than 700 contracted workers in Saudi Arabia as reimbursements for unlawful recruitment fees, among other alleged violations. As a result, "Amazon paid $1.9 million in reimbursements to over 700 contracted workers", the statement added.

  

• Amazon cuts jobs in Pharmacy, One Medical units: Read the memo sent to employees

  In its ongoing effort to streamline operations, Amazon has recently reduced its workforce in the Pharmacy and One Medical divisions, following last year's elimination of over 27,000 positions. Earlier in the year, job cuts were also made in various units including Prime Video, MGM Studios, Buy with Prime, Twitch, and Audible.

  

• Amazon to cut a few hundred jobs at healthcare units

  Roughly 115 positions may be eliminated at One Medical and Amazon Pharmacy, according to Business Insider, which first reported the job cuts. A person cited by Insider estimated up to 400 employees could lose their jobs.
